While your employees have been leading productive work lives – mostly from their homes – cyber criminals have been targeting individuals in an effort to gain access to your IT infrastructure. Here are the facts (passed along from our smart friends at LastPass).

Cyber criminals are gaining access through some remote support tools used by small and medium businesses. This is having a huge impact on IT departments. The time spent addressing IT security concerns has increased to 5 to 8 hours per day in 2020 compared to 1 to 4 hours per day in 2019, according to a 2020 study commissioned by LogMeIn.

Take our cyber security quiz and see if your current remote support tool can securely support your employees and eliminate cyberthreats.

  1. Can your remote support solution prevent malicious actors from tricking your employees or customers into a support session?
  2. Can your remote support tool restrict technicians from accessing the tool from outside your network or an approved list of IP ranges?
  3. Can your remote support tool ensure that only your technicians are authorized to support your employees?
  4. Can your remote support tool prevent a scammer from setting up a “dummy” page that looks and acts just like your support entry page?
  5. Can your remote support vendor provide you with a shareable version of their SOC 2 audit?

Well, how did you do? If you answered “No” to any of the questions above, your support tool may be putting your business and employees at risk of a cyber-attack.
